Foreign ministers from the United Kingdom, Spain, Italy, Germany, Poland, France, and Ukraine, along with the European Union’s High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, convened in Berlin on December 12, culminating in the adoption of the Berlin Declaration.
The declaration reaffirms support for Ukraine’s euro-Atlantic integration, including eventual NATO membership, and its path toward European Union accession. It also outlines commitments to increase military, economic, and financial assistance, including mobilizing additional European funds and expediting the G7’s $50 billion credit for Ukraine’s urgent needs, including military support.
