Sweden is sending its seventh military package to Ukraine as the war-torn country works on a counteroffensive in Kherson, but the aid does not include the Archer artillery systems that a top Ukrainian official requested.
Swedish Foreign Minister Ann Linde announced on Twitter on Wednesday that the newest package contains 500 million kronor—the equivalent of nearly $47 million—of artillery ammunition. Linde said that this would not be the last package, and that Sweden’s Defense Materiel Administration and armed forces will evaluate the possibility of providing the Archer systems, RBS 70 air-defense systems and more.
While speaking at a joint briefing with Linde and Swedish Prime Minister Magdalena Andersson on Monday, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba called on Sweden to provide the Archer systems, Ukrinform reported. Läs artikel
